Second Grade Program

Goals of the FLES program

Since 1986 Westport has had a sequential World language program for grades 5-12. With the introduction of Spanish to all kindergarten students in September 2000, we are taking the first step in offering K-12 students a World language experience.

The goal of Westport’s K-12 program is two fold: to provide students the opportunities to accept and embrace other languages and cultures; to develop competency in a language other than English.
